some memories, some "firsts"

.

Remember the time when you first set foot on a classroom on your very first day at school? The first time you received a gift from a special someone, or the very first time you felt pain? Remember the very first time when you realize what you really want to do in your life? Yes, your very "first's" in everything, they're memories that becomes your turning point towards evolving and becoming you're very own YOU. It was November 5th of 2010: together with the rest of my mates was indeed one of the many "first" on our very long (and ongoing at that) list of "first's".

During the first day of internship at the Sinulog Foundation, all of us interns were given a specific task wherein we are assigned to do stuffs (PR, invitation letters, etc. and coordinate with the event head). My task was the Musicfest and Sinulog Film Festival 2011.
Like that of a fish thrown in a water tank for the very first time, anticipation and the fear to not do well both lingered, but like in every first's, you either do well, or you don't but then again you learn from it.
So far(together with the rest of the interns), we were definitely able to accomplish some task on time, met deadlines, faced adversities, shed some tears along the process, and there's about a million more to come, but quoting Brian Tracy:

"Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles, and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well. Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else."

So indeed, I'd say (proud and loud) bring it on.
